Drop ship with serial number only on PO side but not on SO

We have a client who is still on Navision 2.5. This problem involves items with serial number. When drop ship PO is recieved with serial no it posts the sales shipment at the same time without the serial no. They tried going to sales side to enter the serial no before posting the PO receipt but could not because it's not in the system at this point. I was able to recreate this in a standard 2.5 database. Does anyone know if this error was fixed in an improvement of hot fix? Thanks.
