Dear All,
Tried searching the forum and the downloads section with no success. Would anyone know of to whether there is a way of opening a Navision database from a webpage and also with the correct version of the Navision client? or to a tool perhaps. Please advise.
Many thanks

May be some ASP pages using C/FRONT or NAS as webservice? There is no "standard" application which allows this...0

You could connect through terminal services. Almost all computers have the software. Add the link to open rdp file and hadd as a link on webpage.0

You could also wait 5 monhts? for navision 5, which I guess does that.0

Please stop spreading roumours about Nav 5 when you don't know what will be released.
We have built a asp.net solution that communicates with the navision database via xml messaging and a NAS/SQL solution. Don't ask me about the technical details.
If you are interested I can try to find out if it is for sale for 3rd parties.0 -

No - only exposes it to SharePoint. Not web page. No internet solution. This is intranet solution!!!0 -
Thankyou all for your replies - I am administrating a number of Navision databases which range from v2.01 to 4.01, so wanted to know of any solution which would open up the database and clients accordingly from a central repository.
Many thanks

Take a look at the Terminal Services Advanced Client. This allow you to access a Terminal Server from a webpage. I have used this on a few systems with large number of remote users. These clients wanted access to Navision from any computer on their network. It eliminated the need to configure RDP on a few hundred client machines. There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0

ok sorry about the rumores. Navision will just like navision 4. Only better. :twisted:0
