Returning Objects from functions

I want to return a COM object from C/AL function . The dropdown in the 'Return Value' tab does not have any option for an Object type. The documentation talks about complex types like BLOB , Record , variant etc but they are not present in the drop down for return values either.

You can pass the COM object as reference. That way you don't have to return anything.0
