New server for Navision - how many CALs do I need?

Dear gurus
I need a quick advise on CALs - we have 37 users in Native Navision 3.01 (soon to be Navision 4.01) and are buying a brand new server. How many CALs for Windows 2003 server do I need in that case?
Would you please also review a quote from Dell - did I miss anything? Any feedbacks will be greately appreciated. Thank you!

1) You did not post the actual size of your database
2) and if you are planning to move the database to MS SQL server0 -
The size of the db is 20Gb and we are not moving to SQL version. We will have 5x2 drives - 1x2 for the OS and 4x2 for the actual Navison db.Best regards,

Is it me or does 4Gb RAM seem high? How much cache can you allocate on 4.0? (I'm using 2.6 here)Julian Harper

Why the Dual processors then?0 -
that machine should be fine, it has room to grow to sql later, and will handle what you have now well. Navision won't be able to take advantage of the extra processor, but the operating system will. I have an old Dell quad xeon processor system, that seems to spread the processing accross all four processors even though Navision says it doesn't take advantage of them, when I monitor performance, all four processors seem to have an equal load.
I also have Navision running on a dual processor machine way less powerful then you have here, and it runs a 20 gig Navision 2.0 database very well, supporting 25 users.
you have more then enough Win2003 cals also.0 -

I have had a performance issue on 2.01 (a long time ago), and when there was a performance problem, I checked the server. The disks were rattling like crazy, but the processor was very busy at doing nothing (the average % processor use lay BELOW 10%!).Regards,Alain Krikilion
