Lot No.s on sales line

Hi All,
How do we know that one or more lot no.s are attached to a sales line.
what is the process ?

If I remember correctly the table 337 Reservation Entry is populated when the tracking created.0

And when is then Tracking specification table gets populated.

The Lotno is filled in in the table 336 as stated by Mark as an reservation so that no other can reserve them and during posting of the shipment the reservation is moved to table 337.

yes you are absolutely right but that has raised another question why is the reservation entry form ( which we open on sales order) does not show these entrie while the table has got the entries..

Those forms all run on temprorary data.
It is a real pain to find out how they work and one week later you've forgotten how it works (at least I did).
Try to find out via code/debugger how the form is populated.0
