Add new "standard" fields

Hi,

Is there any way to add fields to a table with a number < 50000.?? I'm trying to apply the changesof MBS 4.0 SP1 to a DB already modified for a customer, and I have two new fields on the table 27, with the numbers 29 and 30.

    What if down the road Microsoft decides to use those numbers..you're customer will be out of luck. the Ranges of 50000...+ are there for a reason, for your customers modifications. Microsoft assigns number ranges for solution NSC's approved add-on's n such.

    There is really no reason to 29 & 30 When 50029 & 50030 work just as well without the worry that it will be used in the future.

    you need to merge the tables. remove all the code from the table. Then import the fob and select merge into new. Navision will merge the tables. Make sure you import them as fob. then once the fields have been created in the table, then merge the code.

    I think you may have Harry. The way I read it is that Alishe is doing an upgrade, and some standard fields have been added. She can't add them manually to her version of the table (which has been customized), so in order to add the fields you have to do a merge to get the fields into the table.

    One other way would be to do your customization to the upgraded version of the table. Depending on the extent of your development this may be a good way to go too.
