I have installed all the softwares required for Windows Sharepoint Services. I am able to create subsites and do all the functions within WSS without problem.
I have installed Navision 4.0 SP1, NAS and EP. I have progressive confirmed the following in the NAS startup:
1. service account used to start up the NAS is valid and can be used to login to Navision with Windows authentication.
2. The NAS startup parameter is set to NEP-1.
3. The database server name is set correctly - not localhost.
4. The database is pointed to the right Navision SQL database.
5. The Company Name is pointed to the right company in the Navision SQL database.
6. Net Type sets to TCP/IP Sockets.
I did not change anything in the EP setup inside Navision, all left to default.
I have tried to uninstall and re-install 4.0SP1, NAS and EP. Same error.
I have checked this forum and partnersource and there is no similiar reported problem.
Any ideas, anyone?

Hi,
this is a known issue: Before you can use EP you have to create the public backend key-pair, because even if you do not use it for encrypting the request, the automation handler needs it.
So just go to Administration -> Application Setup -> Employee Portal -> Setup -> Security > Create Back End Key-Pair. Afterwards restart the NAS.
Then it will run ;-)
