how exactley do you want to "Purge" your database ??
Do you want to remove ALL data or just certain pieces of information.
Have you looked at the "Date Compression" routines in "periodic Activities" ??Remember: Keep it simple0 -
for Date Compression see G/L and Inventory Periodic Activities
In Purchases & Payables and Sales & Receivables if you go to periodic activities - it has other delete options.0 -
hi dean,
what i mean by purging, is that let's say my database is getting really heavy and i want to get rid of all transactions that relate to two years back or more.
however the transactions involved must not be still relevant, e.g customer invoices that have been fully paid would be deleted but not outstanding invoices.
i don't want to create a fresh database but just get rid of "obsolete" that's just making the database big and heavy...
cheers0 -

There are some tables listed in your report that do not exist in version 3.7A. Are these custom tables?
Even if I delete these tables I get this message: "The Property Exceeds the Buffer Size" when I try to run it. Any clues?
