Editable field on page in al code

Greetings experts,

Forgive me, I’m new to working with pages in al code. I have created a page with two fields. I want to take the input of one field, send it to a method in a codeunit using an action, and show the returned text in another field. I’ve marked the field and the page objecr as editable, but it is not editable when opening the page in the BC client. The field is a BigText, but I have tried with a text field also. The page doesn’t have a SourceTable, because I do not want to store anything.

Any pointers as to what I am doing wrong are greatly appreciated.
