On prem BC v20 edit in excel setup

I have been trying to set this up using the AAD auth which is ws-federation and I have the AAD auth working but cannot seem to get edit in excel. Anyone got links to some step by step guides or pointers? After this I then need to look at the Power BI and guess this will also need an AAD app registration etc. Looking at post on WS-federation it also looks like this is now being replaced by openID. Not looked at this yet and hope I will not need to go this route to get things working.

I have used this and it is a good start but some parts are ambiguous but with a lot of experimenting I have finally made it work.0
