how to calculate planned Receipt date for POs?

Hi,

Please share the calculation behind Planned Receipt Date in purchase Order lines with requested receipt date?

I think Planned Receipt Date must be same as requested Receipt date. But in my PO's , it is not coming as true. in my PO's planned receipt date is always equal to expected receipt date. Why So? Please help...
