Report.SAVEASPDF function takes lot of time!

Hi All, has anyone noted, running a report directly and saving it as PDF from print button wouldn't take longer. But if you use SAVEASPDF function it would take hell lot of time. You can see the minor difference even with standard reports but major difference would be seen in case of customized document or MIS reports (5sec vs 30sec).
Has anyone faced such issue? And any solution or work around in such case? Would be great to hear your experiences on the same!

The EnableExternalAssemblies property can also affect the time it takes to convert to PDF.
