Convert Automation Server to dotNET Control

Hello,
we are trying to do a technical update from NAV2009R2 to NAV2013 - just technical - no object update.
We already removed/changed all Form-related-Code in Tables, Codeunits and Reports and deleted all dataports.
Because Automations in NAV2013 are not working any more, we have to convert all used Automations to dotNET Controls.
My Problem is
1. how to find out which dotNet Class/Method corresponds with the Automation Control i want to replace.
2. how to replace these variables as far as possible automatically in my NAV Objects
3. how to Change the NAV Code to fit the new dotNET Controls
Has anybody experiences with these Topics and can give me some hints.
Thx

It surely is advisable to tackle this sooner or later, but even the current version 13 of Business Central still offers the DataType Automation, as long as you stick to the on-premises release, and in the SaaS world neither (.NET or COM) can be used anyhow.Kai Kowalewski5

Automations are still usable in NAV2013.
Only client and serverside needs to be added.0 -
The Update to NAV2013 is only the first step on our way to NAV2018.
I think in NAV2018 Automations are not available any more.0 -
In AL that is true.
But as long as C/AL is used, even Business Central supports Automation.0 -

As long as you use CREATE(MyAutomation,NewServerBoolean,TRUE). Automation NEEDS to be created client-side otherwise it will give you a run-time error.0
