Trouble with setselectionfilter

Hi all,
Having difficulties in making it work. In a form want to call a codeunit (for sending e-mail with attachment).
Rec have filters in number and category.
Have a line saying SETSELECTIONFILTER(Rec)
Call XCODEUNIT(Rec,TxtId);
If selectionfilter is set the result is blank. Have remembered to mark Var in receiving variable in codeunit.

Any suggestions will be appreciated how to pass on a selectionfilter to a codeunit.

Don't mess with the MARKEDONLY property after you have called SETSELECTIONFILTER. The function sets up a filter that includes all selected records, or the current record, if none are seleced. It might use MARK to achieve this, but it might also use SETRECFILTER, or no additional filter at all if all records are selected.
