Fetching data using variable in report

in NAV Three Tier
I have created report named "sales to line" using table "sales header" and "sales line" and now I want to fetch data of field "description" from table "state" in report using variable and don't have any idea how to start.
Please can anyone help me I just recently started working on dynamic navision

    Which version of NAV do you use?
    If it is Class you added a section to to it, if it is RTC the you need to assign the variables and build the design i RDLC.
    For help, do not use PM, use forum instead, perhaps other people have the same question, or better answers.
