Experiences with NAV - CRM Connector?

Has anyone recent experiences with the MS NAV – CRM Connector? We have NAV2017 & CRM2016 both On-Prem and we want to connect them. I just found old articles (ca. 2013) about this topic, and at that time the Connector seemed to be a little bit slow and the functionality seemed somewhat limited. But maybe (hopefully) this has changed over the years? So do you use the MS connector, and if so would you do it again ;-) ?

Connector is Deprecated. Don't waste time on it. It is a POS anyway.5

Don't use it. We did use it when we had CRM 2015 and NAV 2015. Now we have CRM 2016 on premise and NAV 2016 and they integrate natively.
