Delete Data from G/L Account

I am using RapidStart Package to import data to G/L Account, before importing data I want to delete all data from the table.
But because there are already data linked with G/L Account I am not able to delete data from G/L Account.


What is the best way to delete the data from G/L Account ?

    In general ledger setup uncheck "check G/L Account Usage"
    Then delete data from G/L Account Table
    Then again in general ledger setup check "check G/L Account Usage"


    PS. I am migrating g\l account data from live to test company.

    There is no fully legal way. If you implementing NAV, you can close period in old system with "old" accounts and create new period in new system with "new" accounts.
