problem with length of name

when i want to fill in the name of a city, NAV gives the message that it needs to be 10 or less characters. how can i solve this issue? i think its a 2016 version of NAV. If someone speaks Dutvh that would be nice, since its a Dutch version.

If you zoom on the record, you will see both page and source table numbers there, in Page Information tab.
If the source table number is between 50000 and 99 000 000 then you need to contact your partner who build the custom table (or sold you the ISV module) to fix the problem.
The the source table number is other than that check the field number - if it is above 50000 it's the same problem.
If you have access to a DEV license and the Development Environment installed you could increase the field lenght yourself - but it may not be enough sometimes, as there may be some code using that field which may fail.Slawek Guzek
