Hi all, we've just completed a migration from 3.10 cside to
3.10 SQL. A few users (only win2000 so far) have the following error
message when logging in:
"The current ANSI or OEM code page on your computer does not match the 437 code page of the
SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_BIN collation for the sqlattain database. You must ensure that either the ANSI or OEM code page matches the database code page"
I've checked regional settings/code page settings to be the same with
users that work / server.
Any ideas anyone ?
Thanks

Did you check the settings on the last page of the regional settings? (settings for non-unicode applications) - there must be same language that you are using on your database...0
-
Yes - all the same there too0
-
Which language you have selected on the last page of regional settings?0
-
English South Africa - same as the server0
-
Warning - Same as the server does not mean, same as the setting of the language for non-unicode application on the server. It means same as the collation of the database. It seems, that your settings is not using the US codepage.
Hints:
1) Try to use English (United states) in regional settings (do not forget restart the computer)
2) Try to use another collation on your DB - with codepage 1252
3) Do technical upgrade to Navision 3.70 - there is new option for the DB - Validate the CodePage - if you disable this, Navision will not compare the codepages and you will be able to connect with different CP... (but you can lost some local characters, if you will modify the record with different codepage...)0
