The technical conversion proces is, in general, farily simple:
Export forms into specific file/folder, run convert, import generated Pages.txt
If you are converting complete bespoke forms you will be more or less likely able to import result in NAV 2017. If you trying to convert standard customised pages you may not be so lucky. There are many code / functions changes and converted page may simply not compile due to code incompatibility
Also the transformation tool works well on simple / close to standard pages.
If you have fancy logic controlling visiblity, position, etc it may not be correctly converted.
Try it. There is no silver bullet to it. It is an iterative process. Export, convert, import, try - if it does not work, change the form, and back to the beginning. At some point you may decide that fixing some specific paged needs to be done after conversion.
