process in Navision

in NAV/Navision Classic Client

Hello all

To produce a door, wood,lock,door handle item etc are issued from inventory, and finally when door is ready it will be brought in inventory. How to handle this process in Navision. please suggest.

Presently i sell wood. Lock. Door handle to a misc. customer and buy door from misc vendor.

    If you wish to collect the time used to put the door together, you should use the manufactoring module.
    If you only wish to use the items from stock, and then sell the whole door, then the assembly module can do what you wish.

    i wish to use item for stock. but i use nav 6.0 R2, so what options i have to meet my requirements.

    It seems like I've been mistaking. In your NAV version, you should use the manufactoring module.
    Create a BOM and Routing for the item, create the production order and then post the production order.
    That should consume items from stock, and post the new item on stock.
