in NAV Three Tier
Hi All,
in item ledger entry type sales shipment remaining qty showing in negative.

why this is negative showing.

pls help me on this error.

    Hi,

    All outbound-activities in the Item Ledger Entries have a negative quantity.
    All inbound-activities have a positive quantity.

    Sum both and you have your current stock.

    The sales shipment has been partially posted, so there are still goods which have to be shipped.
    These "have-to-be shipped"-goods must be subtracted from the overall stock. That's why it's negative and a correct entry.

    Ask your partner, it is standard functionality.

    Hi,

    I think that system can not find any positive entry with date less or equal to posting date of wrong document to apply to. This situation can lead to wrong item costing - depending on costing method.
