pallet specific info/receipt of goods

in NAV/Navision Classic Client
i have a couple of questions about receiving goods in NAV.
We store steel plates in our warehouse, and i would like to know if its possible to put into NAV the pallet-specific information when receiving goods?
Now when receiving goods, we receive for example 2429 kgs of one product and NAV only teels me that we have 2429 kg in stock. I need to know the exact weight of each pallet and the only way to do that now, is to have a separate Excel list on the side.
Is that possible to do, or does it require programming or some extra module to be added to NAV?

And another thing, which i guess is related to the issue mentioned above, is it possible to print out some kind of a pallet/item label when receiving goods?

    You can use Warehouse Mgt. Bin setup to handle this... refer 'Bin Setup' in below link:

    Pallets if they are fixed in terms of count and location are bins in concept, this will make the most close appropriate function is bins and you still need some customization as you want to capture each pallet weight usage.

    But "and I have a similar experience" If Pallets are not identified and all you need to know that you received 2429 kgs on 2 pallets(1200+1228) . than I will go with a some sort customization as you will need to capture each pallet weight

    all of this correlate to your current status are you using advanced warehousing ? are you using 3rd party add on for warehousing ?
