Hello NAV experts,
First I wanted to say thanks for everyone in this forum and also thank you in advance for your help.
I have a report in NAV 2009 that when I run it, one of the report filters is on Item No. This filter has a button that when I press it; it pulls the values from the item table.
I need the report to do that in NAV 2015, but I cannot find any instructions on how to do this. Please help !

If you start typing in the field you should get a drop down list of matching items0

@Kishorm Yes, but I would like to add a dropdown that pulls all the items. Some reports have it, but I have not idea how that was done. None of the books I read has instructions on how to do that.0

This might sound like a strange question but have you changed the Primary Key for the Item table - for example added another field to it?0
-
@Kishorm No, I have not changed it. There is another report called "Daily Production Report". This report has the drop down of items. Please see attached.
However, I do not see any additional CAL code, setting on item table, or variable that I can attribute to the drop down being available.
Thank you !0 -
There's no properties or anything to specifically control this - it must be something else that is stopping the dropdown from appearing.
Can you compare the properties of the "Item" DataItem in the 2 reports - see what is different.0 -
@Kishorm I have been looking, but I cannot find any properties that make the drop down available. There were a few properties that were different and I set the report without the drop down equal to the one that has the drop down available, but still nothing.
OMG CAL code and navision has been the most frustrating reporting tools and coding I have ever dealt with LOL.
BTW @Kishorm thanks for the help , i really appreciate it.0 -
As previously mentioned, there are no specific properties to control this but what I was suggesting is that you look at all the DataItem properties to see what IS different. One of the differences is likely to cause this as a side effect and if you know what it is then you can then perhaps try to work out if there is an alternative you can use which doesn't cause this behaviour.
Can you show us all the properties of the Item DataItem in the two reports?0 -

@Kishorm The dropdown is automatically added to some fields. After looking at the report very closely, this was a field that whoever created the report named 'No.' , but it was not the item number. Thank you for all your help !0
