Hi all!
Please can you elo me: I have a demo to show and that demo must show theses functionalities.
That company distributes accessories for the installation, the finishing of carpet, vinyl in rolls, vinyl tiles pure...
- At the sales order, we have to show to the customer then quantity for grounds by calculating the grout needs.
Input are: Floor Category, Lenght , Thickness, Joint....
Surface to cover...
After calculation results should show: Quantity to cover that surface.
How can I use my units of measure for that? Is it possible to show something like that at the demo or it is big customization?
Thanks

How are the items set up?
when using UOM - always set up the minimum first and work from there.
do you have something like (for example)
Item A0001
Description: Box of Tiles 12"x12" 1/2inch thick(12 in a box)
Item A0002
Description: Box of Tiles 6"x6" 1/2inch thick(24 in a box)
Item A0003
Description: Box of Tiles 12"x12" 1/4inch thick(12 in a box)
Item A0004
Description: Box of Tiles 6"x6" 1/4inch thick(24 in a box)
etc etc
then do you know how much Grout is necessary to lay 1 box of tiles?
you can always add a "Grout requirement" field on the item card per item.
maybe you can explain how they plan on using Navision? Have you looked at Item Varients?0 -
Thans savatage !
These are details:
1. No my item will be something like 1400; 1410; etc... with base UOM = kg.
1. I know that I can cover 22.59 square meters with 1 Kg. or 243.18 square feet with 1 Kg. if have those inputs:
Lenght: 16 1/4 inches
Widht: 10 inches
Thickness: 1/16 of one inches
Joint: 1/16 of one inches
Surface to cover: 500 square feet.
2. Results
So the Qty needed to cover 500.00 square feet ( or 46.45 square meters) will be 2.06 Kg or 4.53 lbs.
3. In fact I need to enter those elements as input to calculate my Grout.
