Get a value from a global function?

Hi everyone.
I made a function on one table that calculates something for me.
Now I want to take that value and use it to fill a field in another table when i click a button on a page that will initiate this function.
How to do this?
I tried to assign a variable to my function and then call it in my other table bit it doesn't work?

Tiwaj,

You can take that table as Record Variable. There you will find your function in function menu when you will F5. This function needs to be called from the Button of that Page.

Make sure about the parameters and the protocols for this function that is required.
