Use of molds in NAV

I have a requirement to use a mold in a production order and was wondering if anyone has done this before.
A mold will be used for the entire production order and travel through with the product as it is built through the different work centres.
The Molds will have a limited capacity in that I can't use the mold on another production order when in use.
The mold can be reused many times but does need to have some maintenance every x uses.

I think this is a good basis, there will be some tricks to try and marry up the routing durations of the parallel processes.
