FYI: Zetadocs Express and NAV 2016+

We recently upgraded a system to NAV 2016. The new NAV 2016 RTC opens to the 64 bit client by default. Zetadocs client 7.1 does not support the 64bit Windows RTC. For some systems (we've not sorted out the variation yet), the 32 bit RTC add-in does not work with NAV 2016 either.

When asked, Zetadocs said their upcoming v8 client will support the 64 bit client. However, the v8 client currently has no date for being available, "if at all" [quoting their staff], for Zetadocs Express Users.

So, if you are upgrading to NAV2016 and use Zetadocs, please proceed with caution - you may need to upgrade beyond their Express edition to at least Essentials. This is not an unreasonable price, but it's still a problematic change for some customers.

    got an answer from zetadocs team: The 64-bit windows client for NAV will be supported with the next release for Zetadocs, which will be available this Autumn.
