having trouble to filter * %1*

Hi All,

I have a line of code which is

table.setfilter("No.",*%1*,"Document No.");
if table.findset then ;

if did findset or findfirst, but when I debug it, it goes to the beginning of the data which is not correct.

do you know what is missing from the code ?

Wrong: table.setfilter("No.",*%1*,"Document No.");
Right: table.setfilter("No.",'%1','*'+"Document No.");

So, in this case, you should use STRSUBSTNO.

What you really want to achieve.

Write like this

table.RESET;
table.setrange("No.","Document No.");
if table.findset then ;
repeat
until table.next=0;

Which table is it?

In @wisa123 's code the trailing '*' is missing, but appart from that, his code is ok.
