Change log active in Web Service codeunits in 2016?

Hi all,

We're upgrading from NAV2009 to NAV2016. We have a website integrated with a number of web service codeunits - they do various things like allow a customer to change address, place an order, etc.

I was told by a previous developer that record updates recorded by these web service codeunits were not automatically captured in the Change Log. Hence, he added code to call the ChangeLogMgt Codeunit fn LogModification at numerous places in these codeunits.

Does anyone know if NAV2016 captures record changes automatically in the Change Log if database updates occur via web service codeunits?
