Report scenario: request page requires selected lines from calling page - HOWTO?

How is it possible to retrieve the user-selected lines from the calling page in the request page (scope is now currReport and not CurrPage .... so SETSELECTIONFILTER(record) can not be called) ? Background: the user selected lines from the calling page should serve as a filter for the Report.

Use Setselectionfilter in the PageAction calling the report, then pass the filtered record. (report.settableview).
