Deparments menu missing on navigation pane (Nav 2015)

I am extremely new to nav . I have a nav 2013 database which i successfully restored on a different server. I have converted that DB and my new nav 2015 point to that db . I was able to successful log on with RTC using windows authentication, but realised that the department menu on the navigation pane is missing. I tried adding it but all i get is an empty list table. Any help will be appreciated.

were you able to see departments in NAV2013?
Please check whether you or someone has removed it in Config Mode.

yes, i have been able to see the departments in NAV2013.0

With the help of jonathan archer i was able to solve the problem. I log on to the development environment and selected all the object and compiled. restarted the service and i was good0
