Dear all,
I have a problem about the navigation pane in Navision.
It show in full size, so it blocked my form view. How to set it into it's original size? And why that's happening?
TIA

Hi!
Close your Navision client and the delete the "fin.zup" file from the following path:
"C:\Documents and Settings\jyoti\Application Data\fin.zup" (instead of "jyoti' here it will be your windows login name on your system)
Restart your Navision client, your Navigation Pane's size will be fine now.

I've had the same problem.
I've made copy of good zup file and BAT file for copying.
Deleting zup file is solution, but it is not very good for end-users.
Is there any normal solution (or bug fix) for this problem?????Adux

end users can add an id=somename.zup clause to the shortcut they use to start the Navision client.0

And after full screen navigation panel they will have to delete somename.zup instead of fin.zup.
That is not good decision.
I hope Microsof will repair this bug ...
In Microsoft we trustAdux

Why the navigation can be in the full mode?
If this known as an common error, is there any bug fix?0 -
Just an aside -- adding the parameter should be sufficient. since the new .zup file won't exist, it will create it. Functionally, its the same thing as deleteing the orignal zup file. Though I have to say, I don't understand whats too difficult about that.0

Correction. My last post was an error. The zup file is only created when you exit Navision, so you would still have to delete the original .zup first.0

You go open the Navigation pane designer, make a slight change and save. Next time they open Navision, it will be reset and all there other zup files setting we be unchanged.
From an end user point of view, deleting the zup file is a major pain, and shouldn't have to be done, because of a bug in Navision.

But it is a bug, and bugs do things you don't like.0 -
What I am saying is the first response I get from programers is delete the zup file, because that is what is easy for them. But for the user that is a major pain, and should be the last resort, not the first. Now if the user sets so many filters on a item card he can no longer get it to open, then it is his fault and deleting the zup, is a price he/she just has to pay.ajhvdb wrote:themave wrote:and shouldn't have to be done, because of a bug in Navision

But it is a bug, and bugs do things you don't like.
But a bug in the program that can be fixed with a little effort, like the above fix, it should be done first.
Again, just my opinion.0
