Mail Creation or mail Send Interval

Dear all,
A single click on RTC Page (NAV 2013 R2) creates & sends more than 250 outlook-mails one by one. The default Codeunit 400 (SMTP Mail) is handling this thing.
Now I want that the ‘N’ number out of total mails ( here is 250 ) will be sent first and then the system(the sent function) will wait for 2-5 minutes to send the next ‘N’ number mails and so on. The process will remain open until the last mail has been sent.
How to do this without using Pure SLEEP function ?
