Rapid Start Export ot Excel producing error

Hi

I've just installed Nav at ta new client and when I installed Excel wasn't installed on the server. We have subsequently had it installed and I have gone back and installed the Microsoft Office Excel Add-in.

When we go to a package in Rapid Start - Export to Excel, though I get the following error:

Cannot create an instance of the following .NET Framework object: assembly Microsoft.Interop.Excel, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c, type Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ApplicationClass

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hi,

    You did not say what version of NAV it is , so assume it is NAV 2013 R2.
    You need to install Office add-in on the client too for Rapid start to work.
    To double check whether Office add-in is installed on the user PC go to
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\RoleTailored Client
    and in that folder you should see
    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll
