Hi All,
Is active directory required for deploying NAV2013?
If it's not required, what is the method to deploy without AD?
I found an article from MSDN, however, it's for WAN.
Please advise.
Thank you.
regards,
Rachel

No, you dont need AD.
Windows Authentication also includes workgroup, bit you need to use UserName Authentication method on clients instead of Windows. And clients need to login with credentials from the workgroup NAV server, everytime.... Because you dont have AD.Follow me on my blog juhl.blog0 -
Hi Rachel,
active directory is not needed for authentication. You can separate installation and authentication as two complete different topics and for both ADDS is not needed. What do you mean with deploy in this case?
