GL Posting Date

Hi to all,

One of our client currently unable to generate trial balance report with date filter due to some wrong entries posted in G\L Entry.

The "Posting Date" field in G/L Entry starts with 'C' character we don't know how system allowed to post this entries.

Please give your suggestions...

    Hi,

    these are closing dates... sounds strange. You actually can enter them by hand in a general journal, but most of the time you shouldn't. usually you only see these on special postings like close income statement. A closing date lies technically "between" two real dates. This can become a problem down the line (for consolidation, for example).
