Problem to access Nav4 SQL DB

tatianatatiana Member Posts: 37
Hi !
I have a user who has roles: SUPER & ALL. W're working in Nav4 SQL using windows authentification.

That user is already created in Navision. Ex: User ID: BOB; Password : 1234

I try to enter in Navision by choosing the DB but i cant. What could be the problem???
I did the same with another User ID ( ADMIN ) with same roles ( SUPER and ALL)

Thanks for help me out.

Are the users Db logins or windows logins in Navision ?
Did you click on tools security, windows login?

You mentioned windows authentification. that's why I'm asking.
    Also did you run synchronize?
In Nav 4 you have to synchronize every time after a security change.

The windows user account must be set up with access in SQL Server as well.

What the error says? I don't think matters here but as far as I know Super and All should not be chosen together.

Did u choose the right Networkprotokoll?
As i did start to work with NAV 4.0 i did often step into the trap that the Networkprotokoll sometimes (i don't know why until know) switches to TCPS instead of TCP we use. This also did close me the acces to our DB.
