Hi Experts
I am facing error while starting sql server agent under NavDemo instance what to do?
"The request failed or the service did not respond in timely fashion. Consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details".

Hey Sachin,

SQL Server Agent could not be started in Express Version. (NAVDEMO is a Express Version of SQL Server 2012 which is installed with NAV if you select Demo Installation)

This is the Clear Message that you will find if you check the Event Viewer.

Reason: This installation of SQL Server Agent is disabled. The edition of SQL Server that installed this service does not support SQL Server Agent.

Try Moving your database to Non Express Version which will allow you to Run the SQL Server Agent.
