Information about US Sales tax

Hello,
We are currently working on a rollout for a US company. Our Navision standard is Swiss.
In the Swiss we use VAT for tax. But there is another module called sales tax. Here a few questions:

- has anyone some documentation about this sales tax module?
- is it possible to handle the US sales tax with the VAT module?
- is it possible to run the sales tax module beside the VAT module?

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with this questions.

    Hi cyberscout,

    I used to work with VAT and sales tax.
    Now I have US/Canada localization and use only sales tax module (but still you have to create dummy record in Tax (VAT) Posting Setup).
    I’m pretty sure you can use sales tax in your localization to meet US sales tax requirements.
    I have localization manual for US or you can use Navision Help as minimum.
