Visual Studio training advice

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a programmer/developer, but I do realize that I need to learn Visual Studio to be able to modify reports in NAV2013. I'm a former GP user, used to using its native report writer, so jumping to VS is quite a leap for me.
Can anyone suggest a good online course to learn VS? Preferably a class that's focused on the specifics of NAV.
P.S. Preferably free! I'm cheap too!!!
Thanks

I don't have a tool for you but I would suggest the following; Take a modified Sales Invoice or Sales Quote for an existing customer and try to recreate/modify it in VS. You will learn a lot.
And it will cost you lots of time.
But there are advantages to develop in VS. Have fun!

I agree with tinoruijs ... I was in the same boat as you and took me over 16hrs for my first report but after doing them and learning, I can bang out a fully customizable report in a few hours now. Just take one and try to recreate/modify it in VS just like tinoruijs said-rico19310

If you have access to training materials on PartnerSource or CustomerSource, then download the Reports training manual for NAV 2013.
It will lead you through many sample reports.
I found it very helpful.David Machanick
