Build Server Application Object - where are the object files

Hi All,
I feel kind of stupid, bringing this up..
In NAV 2013 R2 we use the Build Server Application Object, so I'm wondering, where are the server application objects stored ?
Can I find them somewhere in a folder ? On the SQL Server, the server instance server or local ?
Another question - we have 4 server instance serveren, so do that give any issues to concern when running 2013 R2 and when Building application objects ?
If multiple server Instances link to the same database, what should then be entered in the "Server Instance Name" at "Options" ?
Regards
Tom H

The objects are stored in object metadata record, so everything sit in SQL then.
On the options you can enter whatever instance name you like. No difference between middle-tiers if they point to same DB.0
