Modify without opening object

Hi,
Is it possible to modify objects (table,page,cdu....) without opening.
For Eg:
On upgrading a nav db, at the end you want to add some common documentation to all the upgraded\modified objects, then it will be a tough and tiring job to open each and every modified object
and then copying and Pasting the code onto the documentation trigger.
Instead we create a new cdu, using Object record variable and inserting the common documentation onto all modified objects, documentation trigger. At the end on running that cdu, it enters the
data in the filtered objects\modified objects.

The only way I know how you can achieve this is by exporting the objects as .txt and then process these .txt file so that they contain the documentation text in the documentation trigger. After that reimport the .txt objects files and recompile.0
