Hi expert, I don't want the users to access all of the departments, and I want them to view some of them. Currently what I can only do is to customize the menusuite, delete and add the objects from the departments of the menusuite. But If I delete the objects, is there any way to back up the menusuite and restore them in the future. Export and import?
Why can we not customize the departments (keep those we use and delte those we don't use) from the customize Navigation Pane of the configuration mode?

Navision has standard feature (Role & Permission) to restrict these kind of things.Go through the below link :

Thank you! I know the roles and permission. But I like the old version better, which can assign the users to each department from the menusuite. Users can only view their own department.

Assign users is not available in RTC.
you need to create different role centers with required pages/reports and delete the departments from them.
