Footer in 2013R2

Hi. I've created a report in 2013 R2 using SQL builder. I've added a footer and I have checked the property which says "print in last page" so the footer content is only printed in the last page; in all other pages it's not printed (fine so far) but the space of the footer is "reserved" and so I get a blank space at the bottom of each page.
Any idea of what's wrong?.

you don't need to create a footer, just put your footer data in last of header, as you need that data only on last page..

Hi,

For RTC Reports there are some points that will help you to understand the problem -

1- Page Header and Page Footer are Fixed size specified during design time.

2- If you are printing Page header and footer conditionally it will always consume space where your condition does not specify.

3- This is the reason that we cannot use tables in Header & footer because tables may extend based on Data.

4- Page Header & Footers are used when you want to print any information that you require on every page.

As suggested by Deepak you can use Table Footer instead of Page Footer But here is something that you need to understand.

Anything on Page Footer will always print of END OF PAGE.
Anything on Table Footer will print on End of table (it may be at the Top / Middle / Bottom of page based on data).

Two Things -
END OF LAST PAGE. (conditional Page Footer but will consume blank space)
IN LAST PAGE. (Use Table Footer)

I hope this will clear your doubts and you can take decision based on your requirement. Let me know if any issues.
