Hi everyone,
I started working on RTC reports a few months ago with NAV 2013 and now I have to work on a few reports in NAV 2009 R2.
My question is: can I build a NAV 2009 RTC report from scratch like in 2013, without having any classic layout???if yes, how can I include the fields I need for the layout in the dataset of the report?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for your effort but that's not what I am talking about...
I know how to do a 2013 report...what I want to know is whether I can build a report in NAV 2009 R2 without making a classic layout first(sections and so on) and in this case how can I populate my dataset...0 -
you need to add the fields in sections to pass them to dataset..0

In 2009 the classic layout IS the dataset. You CANNOT do RDLC reports WITHOUT the classic layout.0

On the other hand, the Classic Layout does not have to be printable.
You can place all the fields and the captions in the body section and make it easy to manage but unprintable.________________________________
