Date filter

Hi expert, when I tried filtering the date in the report, it seems like the number (e.g 010113..053013) in the date field does not automatically convert to date format 01/01/13..05/30/13. But we can do it in the old version. Please advise! Thank you!

    Before we print or preview the report, we will see the request page Add Filter (Show results: x And order date (I select the order date) is Enter a value (I enter 010413))
    when the date e.g. 010413 is entered into the textbox, it remains as 010413 and no date format are converted in the textbox. I tested several reports, all of them are like this.
    Do we have to create the date on the request page and add code to it in order to retrieve the records based on the posting date, order date? Thank you!
