Problems with USERID

Hi Mibuso.com

Can you help us out - where does the actual NAV function/ID USERID come from or where is USERID set?

We have a Windows Nav user call Freddy (name changed to protect the user!). We accidently called then Fredy in User Setup, Windows Login etc. Since realised our error and changed it to User Freddy. This is reflected in User Setup, Windows Login etc. Restarted server, deleted zup and when client Freddy logs in – can see Freddy at the bottom right of the screen but the USERID still pins Fredy to all the places that USERID is used!

Any ideas?

    Are you using windows authentication or sql authentication?

    Is this classic or RTC?

    If it's classic, what does it show at the bottom right corner for user id?

    Thanks for your reply :D!

    Our client was using windows authentication.

    I asked them to check their Active Directory Settings as SSMS - Security Users was showing the wrong user name too!

    Our client came back this morning saying that they are now using SQL authentication for this user now so its sorted.

    Sorry guys - never really a NAV issue after all but this link may help others!
