Dear all,

I am using NAV 2013..
Whether multiple NAV Server instances in one server with the same database is more efficient than one NAV server instances to handle many users?
Please suggest.. Thank you..

Multiple NAV Server instances can be installed on multiple servers, to distribute the load. It does not make sense to install multiple NAV Server instances on the same machine, when they all connect to the same database, imho.

In some senarios you would install multiple NAV servers on a single machine to connect to the same database.

for example;
Multiple Authentication Modes
Multiple NAS Services (more than one company)

Why would you need to install multiple Middle Tier Servers to the same database on the same server when you want to use multiple Application Servers? In Classic Client NAS you would be able to setup the company in NAS itself. Did that change in 2013?

In each NAV Service Instance you select the parameters for a single NAS Service.
The default setup is to run the job queue for a single company.
If you need to run the job queue for another company you will need another instance or a custom codeunit that starts the job queue in multiple companies.
