Report Printing Quality (Bar Code)

Hello,
I already noticed some differences between printing directly and via pdf.
Now I have a customized report for Posted Shipments with Bar Code.
When I call the report I can print directly with the button PRINT but the Bar Code has a very bad quality and can't be read by the scanner.
But when I choose PRINT=>PDF then I get a clean document and the scanner reads it perfectly.
Is there anything that I can do to make the direct printing as good as the pdf ?

Is it an RDLC report or a classic report.
Which barcode technology do you use?
Do you have any default printer settings that might cause this?0 -
Its a RDLC report (NAV2013)
I'm using EAN13 barcodes
I don't think there are any default printer settings - when I generate a pdf and print this pdf file the result is perfect.0 -
You need to install this hotfix on the Windows Server 2008 R2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2768741
You can also grab the hotfix from my SkyDrive: http://sdrv.ms/16eb4iG
I think the server need to be restarted after the hotfix is installed, but I forgot if that is neccessary.
Your barcodes will print perfect after this hotfix has been applied.

Hi,
As for me, I am testing the related online pdf-417 barcode generator these days. Do you have any ideas about it? Or any good suggestion? I am totally a green hand on barcode generating field. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So far so good.. i create the pdf and it shows the barcode on the pdf file.. but when i give the print command the barcode will not be printed
Its strange because i use the same barcode settings on another type of report. Has anybody got a clue?0 -
Hi folks,
i used the Barcode - files of Stijn Bossuyt to print EAN13 / 2of5 some years ago for NAV5. It worked very good.
Now i transported it to NAV2015 on a WIN8.1 machine (Server and Client) in a VM.
Now the Barcode looks not good and is'nt readable: to narrow all.
the differences can be seen below in the attachments.
What to do ?

Hi Experts,
Recently we got a requirement from one of our clients that they want to show a set of data in form of PDF-417 barcode in one of the Customized reports. The NAV version they're in is 2013.
I tried downloading PDF-417 barcode fonts from several sites and use it in RDLC but, didn't get the expected, readable output. Please share your knowledge and help me in this case.
Thanks in advance !!0 -
Hello experts,
I am also having similar issues, when I print a label which is in png format and I import this into NAV report and if I print it directly on the printer, print quality is really poor.
However if I save the report as pdf and then print it, it works perfect.
Any ideas please, I am using NAV 2013, Win Serer 2012.
Thanks in advance....
